About Me

I am a print and broadcast journalist, documentary film producer, and educator specializing in arts, culture, religion, and international affairs. I have reported for PBS, PRI, and NPR affiliates, and my cultural criticism and reviews have appeared in various regional and national publications.

As an educator, I spent three years teaching at universities in China, where I also formed theater troupes and adapted Shakespeare for television broadcasts. In the U.S. I continue to indulge my interest in theater, mainly as a reviewer, but also occasionally in performance.

I hold a doctorate in theology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
